Team 20 was a strong team made up of 11 Occupational Therapy students from
the University of Indianapolis and Western Michigan University as well as
volunteers from Michigan, Arizona and Washington. Team 20 was a land mark
team in Push International's history.
The team seated recipient # 1,000 in January 2011!
This team also included 3 generations of volunteers including Co-founder
Bree Lair, her father and grand mother. This team was a beautiful blend of
future therapists, engineers and Push veteran volunteers.
The team participated in 4 half day equipment distributions on our shared campus in Mazatlan, Mexico. A bus from El Fuerte, a town 6 hours to the north, came to our campus
filled with over 30 families in need. The team worked tirelessly to individually adjust the equipment to meet their needs. They also had the opportunity to participate in hands on therapy activities such as feeding clinics, sensory integration, physical handling techniques, adaptive driving, hippotherapy, home visits and more.
