 Katie Sutherland just celebrated her 13th birthday this year and unlike many of her peers Katie didn't make a birthday wish list. Instead Katie asked her guests to donate money in place of gifts so that she could use that money to sponsor a wheelchair for someone in need instead. "I didn't really need anything for my birthday so I decided to help someone instead," Katie told us. Katie's family and guests donated $150.00 to sponsor a wheelchair for someone in need in Africa.

After Push International receives a donated mobility aid we have to pick it up, refurbish it, and ship it to the country where we will be working. The cost for Push International to do this is $150.00 per wheelchair, $30.00 per walker and $20.00 for a pair of crutches. You can sponsor equipment for someone with a disability abroad. If you desire, your name will appear on the chair when the recipient receives it! All donations are tax deductible. Please make your checks payable to Push International. |
